We expect that the international playing standard will be very good. The classical organ which will be played is made by Content in Holland - The specifications are listed in the attached PDF file. I would seem that this organ festival is part of a cultural / arts exchange. If a player chosen to compete in China, that player will be sponsored by Ringway Tech Electronics. (This is not an affirmative action venture, meaning that the contestant will be chosen according to their playing ability. Which means any organist of any colour / culture / sex living in South Africa is welcome to apply as long as they were born after 1996.) The exact method of selecting a South African organist is currently under discussion. Due to the vast distances of our country, our initial suggestion is that the organist / contestant be filmed by video camera or cellphone and uploaded to youtube. The selection of the contestant will be made by a panel of judges both here in South Africa and possibly the final approval by China. If you have any comments or questions regarding this please kindly contact me by email or cellphone.
